Awesome Community Events
Since March 2021, the Aliana Community Council has held the Aliana Food Truck Friday. With an attendance of 300 plus visitors, the Aliana Food Truck Friday events have been a great success and immensely welcomed by the community! Food truck selection is culturally diverse with many favorable choices, such as Nom Mi Street, Kassa Kitchen & Grill, Smoothie Strong, Tu-Go Kitchen, Foreign Policy, and more.
The Aliana Food Truck Friday events also helped new vendors showcase their businesses. For example, The Cookie Magnet, Smok’n Good Italian Ice, and Confetti Crumble.
Additional entertainment included music and games sponsored by the council, all while maintaining social safety. The latest game introduced by DJ Damon-D of MixDoctors entertainment was a virtual trivial game. Each visitor participated by using an app on their phone and it was so much fun! This seasonal event will be an Aliana staple and should continue to grow with the enthusiasm of the visitors.
The Aliana Community Council hosts the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center at the community to safely help coordinate blood drives to aid those in need of blood. The blood drives have been ongoing since last year, at the start of the pandemic. To this day we have had over 250 successful donors! A huge thanks to our community and those who participated in saving lives.
