Celebrating the Return of Fiesta Texas
As the world returns to some semblance of normal, San Antonio decided once again to celebrate Fiesta!
This annual 10-day celebration began in honor of Texas Independence after the fall of the Alamo, the Runaway Scrape, and the victory at San Jacinto. Fiesta, or what we like to call the largest block party in San Antonio, helps support many local charities and has received a warm welcome since its return this year.
Our very own Walker Ranch, with the help of Social Chair Ann Weborg, paid homage to Fiesta with a community favorite event, the Fiesta Flambeau Parade (San Antonio’s lighted night parade)!
All were welcome to build their floats and join the parade down the community’s streets on Saturday, June 26th, 2021. The community was encouraged to have fun and enjoy the treats, cascarones, pinatas, and awards for the top 3 floats, selected by our esteemed panel of judges, the Walker Ranch Board of Directors.
Despite the warm temperatures, everyone had a blast! We appreciate all who joined the fun and those who worked so hard to make sure the community had a great time! The pictures are evidence that we are ready to get out and enjoy our community once again!
