Stable Gate Homeowners Association

Stable Gate is a community known for its wonderful events year around and great family atmosphere where everyone knew each other. However, when the community was hit with two major floods followed by COVID-19, socializing became a thing of the past.  The community was anxious to revive that spirit and did so on July 3rd.  The community of Stable Gate Homeowner’s Association in Cypress held a concert at the park starring Dan Golvach, a local talented singer and musician.  The idea started as a request from one of our owners, Glenn Hearn, who wanted to host this musician for a concert at the park at his cost and invite the entire neighborhood and guests.  The Board agreed to let him host the event and added a few things to it as well to make the event a tremendous success.  Our social committee put together a 4th of July bike parade for all the children in the community to show off their bike decorating skills to celebrate America. Also, on hand for the adults was Bovine & Barley – The “Adult Ice Cream Truck”.  They were a big hit serving all sorts of adult beverages and snacks.

The concert attendance was upwards of 200 people.  Given that Stable Gate is only comprised of 230 homes, this is an amazing turn out!  There was a big concern that nobody would show up as this event happened during the month of endless storms in Houston.  But, not to worry, Glenn planned ahead and had a huge tent erected onsite to ensure everyone stayed nice and dry the whole evening.  Residents enjoyed the music of Dan Golvach and got to mingle and socialize with their neighbors and meet new ones.   Stable Gate would like to thank Glenn Hearn and all the volunteers who made this kick off event such a huge success and they look forward to having many more events to get everyone out and having fun.
