San Antonio Community Spotlight

San Antonio Oak Crest Homeowners Association, Inc.
San Antonio Oak Crest Homeowners Association, Inc.

San Antonio Oak Crest is a quiet and private neighborhood located in North West San Antonio. Nestled within its oak trees, the community presents beautifully lit decorative lamp post street lighting, well-manicured, landscaped medians and perimeter areas, and lovely unique homes.

Oak Crest is filled with generous people who are willing to give their time and talents to better the community. The Association has various dedicated committees, all volunteer-ran, including the Architectural Control, Neighborhood Watch, Holiday Decorating, Social, and Grounds Beautification Committees.

One volunteer, Sam Villarreal, has been spending his weekends cleaning signs and installing gate reflectors in and around his community. His father noticed an increase in vehicle accidents near his home, so he and Sam set out to make a difference by improving the visibility of the gates and signage. Sam is encouraging other young residents to participate in making their neighborhood a safer and more family-friendly place to live.

Thank you to the Board, the Committee members, and individuals like Sam for your volunteer work. We are so grateful for your hard work and dedication to your community. It is members like you that make Oak Crest a great place to live!

Cinco Ranch Residential Association II

Cinco Ranch II, a well-known signature community, is a mixture of metropolitan with a dash of southern hospitality. The Cinco Ranch II residents display a wonderful mixture of cultures from all around the world. The Community has around 6,300 homes and is located in the heart of Katy, Texas west of Houston.

Cinco Ranch 2 is home to many talented people.  One of these incredible people are Hemu Basu, who recently had the opportunity to participate in Halloween Cake Wars, season 10, on Food Network.  Mrs. Basu was a part of the winning team, “Mummies Reject.”  Mrs. Basu also participated in the Wedding Cake Championship, season 2 where she received accolades for her work with her teammate.  Though they did not win the grand finale, the experience set her up for success during Halloween Cake Wars.

When asked, who is your toughest critic, she stated it was her daughter.  “She is a wonderful and talented artist on her own who creates amazing pieces of work… She has an eye for the smallest of details that others may not see.”  Thanks to her supportive family, she has become a local legend and now has a national platform to display her talent.  Cinco Ranch 2 residents are very thankful to call her a neighbor!
