Plantation Lakes is a lovely custom home community located in Waller, bordering the grounds of the Texas Renaissance Festival. There is a seven-member board of directors, with each board member being assigned to different responsibilities to ensure the community runs as smoothly as possible. For example, one board member is assigned as the County Liaison, working to bring road and safety issues to the attention of the appropriate county personnel. Plantation Lakes has areas in both Waller and Grimes County, and the liaison works with both county commissioners to get community issues resolved.
The annual Renaissance Festival is a challenging time for Plantation Lakes residents, due to the crowds and traffic generated by those attending this event from October through the end of November. The board works with county law enforcement agencies to minimize the inconvenience to residents as much as possible.
Another major issue is the proposed high-speed rail system, which would run right through Plantation Lakes. Many residents and board members have worked hard to have their voices heard to fight the high-speed rail in this area and preserve the quality of life they moved here to enjoy. Between communicating with state and local officials and visiting the state capitol for legislative sessions, these folks have made it their mission to stop the high-speed rail in their community.
C.I.A. Services is proud to have served Plantation Lakes since November of 2017, and we look forward to many more years of working with this wonderful community!
