Shavano Forest Owners Association
Shavano Forest Owners Association

On the Northwest side of San Antonio, near the IH 10 and NW Loop 1604 juncture, there is a quaint community tucked away near the convergence of Huebner and Lockhill Selma Rds is the Shavano Park community.  Only 84 Homes are here, but they rest in the ability to enjoy the quiet small town living of Shavano Park, while living in the ‘Big City’ of San Antonio.

The 5-member board is very active and while they meet quarterly, there is quite a bit of activity, newsletters are created by the board to keep the community abreast of the latest happenings and needed updates, such as the local bobcat who seemed to want to visit the community recently.  The board works very hard to make life in the community beautiful and enjoyable.  They work hard to maintain the perimeter, as well as keep the entry ways beautiful with updates to the landscaping.  The board stays busy planning community events such as the recent National Night Out, Halloween Community Stroll and holiday lighting in the community.

The 5-member board stays connected in the community and works to ensure everyone feels their concerns are heard. They then work just as hard to resolve issues, such as repairs to perimeter walls along busy city streets and irrigation to keep landscaping investments protected. This community is full of busy energetic homeowners who take great pride in their community and work to keep everyone involved as much as possible. Next time you are in the area drive through and see their handiwork sometime!
