San Antonio Community of the Month
The Summit is a lovely, well-established community nestled in the Stone Oak (North Central) area of San Antonio, with nearby thoroughfares of 1604 to the south and 281 to the east. This 30-year community boasts of one of the lowest crime rates in the San Antonio area. The Board members have lived in the community from its’ inception and work hard to ensure that it is a place everyone in the community loves coming home to each evening, even the engagement of afterhours Constable patrols to help keep the community one of the safest in the city. They are working to drive new interest and bring younger families into the community.
With that in mind, this well-maintained community is looking towards future growth and has its’ eye on the further development of their park area. They are working towards more added amenities, such as additional Shade covered play areas, park-style benches, and an updated basketball court. Splash pads, zip lines, and in-ground slides, as well as ADA compliant swings. To benefit the current homeowners of a certain age, they are looking to include the addition of Bocce Ball and Shuffleboard Courts. The well-maintained streets and irrigation system, keep the monuments, fencing, and exterior of the community, looking as inviting as the beautiful homes within the community. Community events and garage sales help everyone stay in touch and get to know their neighbors. Overall it is a well-rounded, well maintained, inviting, and quiet community that deserves recognition for its’ hard work!
Houston Community of the Month
Located just west of Houston, in the city of Fulshear lays the progressively developing community of Cross Creek Ranch. The residents fortunate enough to call this stunning community home may also enjoy a peaceful “staycation” right in their own backyard. Cross Creek Ranch is a top-selling master-planned community for people with active lifestyles who are looking for a combination of community and beautiful, natural surroundings. In Cross Creek Ranch, you get a small-town charm with big-city access!
As the community grows, resident and volunteer participation are high on the list of priorities. In Cross Creek Ranch, we thrive on resident and community involvement. In addition to our resident Board Member and all of our resident Committee volunteers, Boy Scout Troops 424 and 1103 volunteer as well! These young volunteers keep the stars and stripes flying in Cross Creek Ranch and have done so since before 2017 — and that’s just the beginning of how they serve the community. When the Troops are not placing flags around the neighborhood for holidays such as President’s Day, Flag Day, and Veteran’s Day (just to name a few) the Boy Scouts can often be found at Cross Creek Ranch events, lending a helping hand! Take a ride throughout the community on President’s Day and enjoy how Cross Creek Ranch commemorates this day.
With every bit of attention focused on homeowner satisfaction and involvement, residents find they are the envy of family and friends and are proud to boast that they live in Cross Creek Ranch, where residents aren’t simply put out to graze and forgotten, but encouraged to make their own brand and settle in!
