The Sunrise Pines Homeowners Association is a small community located in Northeast Houston, near Sheldon Lake. This newly completed development is set back off Beltway 8. The large manicured landscape entrance and beautiful monuments guide you to the community off the busy toll road. The community is comprised of 464 homes in two sections. Both sections feature a park with playground equipment and a walking trail.
Sunrise Pines has been home to many families since construction began in 2007. After the development was completed in 2017, the Board of Directors was turned over to volunteers in the community who were elected by the residents. The Board members have enjoyed watching so many families move in and help to grow the community. Sunrise Pines takes pride in their family-friendly amenities and keeping the playgrounds in good shape for neighborhood enjoyment.
Recently, the Board approved several improvement projects for the community. In 2020, shade structures will be installed to cover the playground equipment to keep it cool so that more kids can play during the summer. Additionally, a pavilion will be erected at the older section’s park to match the existing pavilion in the newer section. Lighting and electrical outlets will be installed at both pavilions to allow neighbors to bring electronics for community events and neighborhood parties.
In 2019, the association held its first-ever community-sponsored event for neighbors to get to know each other and welcome new residents. The community looks forward to planning many more events in 2020 to promote, enhance, and strengthen the sense of community.
The Board of Directors and Sunrise Pines residents volunteer their time and efforts to keep the community a safe and desirable place to live. For example, residents in Sunrise Pines have recently volunteered to help the association with a petition to request that a traffic signal be installed on Beltway 8 near the entrance to the community. Volunteers foster the neighborly feel of Sunrise Pines.
We are very proud to be a partner with Sunrise Pines who maintains a great place to call home.
