Fond memories of tubing down the Guadalupe on a hot summer day? Las Brisas is nestled along the shores of the Guadalupe River where a hydro-electric dam created Lake McQueeney nearly a century ago. Lake McQueeney provides the best of serene lake life and boating.
Las Brisas has a beautiful lake park with a 1-acre island bordering a canal and marina. A few owners are able to lease a covered boat slip in the community’s marina but all owners can use the boat ramp and tie up to the day slips or the island bulkhead. Lake McQueeney has no public access so having an access-controlled boat ramp and a marina is a great benefit to living in Las Brisas.
The board members and other volunteers in Las Brisas are dedicated to keeping the community looking great while ensuring funds are used wisely. Many important and major projects have been completed in 2018 and are underway for 2019. The entry gate system was replaced, the irrigation system has been upgraded, esplanades have been renovated, the marina is being dredged removing 180 big truckloads of silt, the island bulkhead is being repaired, 5 new covered boat slips are being built and all roads are being patched and resealed. Residents appreciate the routine communications they receive and are very pleased with the community’s facelift.
For all the wonderful residents of Las Brisas, we are proud to honor them as our Community of the Month.
