Dani Moore of Stable Gate Homeowners Association
by Jen Northington
A thriving community doesn’t just happen—it’s built by dedicated individuals who give their time, energy, and passion to make it a better place. This month, we proudly recognize Dani Moore of Stable Gate HOA for her outstanding service and commitment to fostering a connected, welcoming neighborhood. Dani and her husband, Glen, have called Stable Gate home since 2012, raising their two children, Katie and Alex, alongside their beloved rescue kitten, Sammy. From the moment they moved in, Dani embraced the community spirit and took on an active role in shaping the neighborhood into the vibrant, friendly place it is today.
Her dedication was evident when she served two terms on the Board of Directors, helping to guide the HOA with her leadership and vision. But her service didn’t stop there. After the lockdown, Dani saw a need to bring neighbors together again and took the initiative to reactivate the Social Committee. Under her leadership as chair, the Committee has organized numerous community events, strengthening the bonds among residents and creating lasting memories.
One of her proudest achievements is spearheading the effort to bring a Little Library to the neighborhood park, encouraging a love of reading for all ages. Dani and the Committee also had the foresight to recognize that many small maintenance jobs within the community could be handled by skilled residents, leading to the establishment of the Building and Handyman Committee—a resourceful group that helps maintain the community while fostering teamwork among neighbors.
Beyond her volunteer work, Dani and Glen have been together for 28 years, sharing a life full of adventure and dedication to their family. After years of coaching their children’s teams, chaperoning events, and supporting the marching band, they are now enjoying the next chapter as empty nesters. With Alex embarking on his career and Katie thriving in her third year at Texas A&M (Gig ‘Em!), Dani and Glen are embracing travel and new experiences.
Stable Gate is truly lucky to have a volunteer like Dani Moore—a community builder, a problem solver, and a friendly face who makes everyone feel at home. Thank you, Dani, for your unwavering dedication and for making our neighborhood a better place to live!

Associations in Practice
Our Associations in Practice Series is an offering of short videos with specific topics.
The 2023 session of the Texas legislature had some impact on property owners’ associations. The short 17-minute video, Texas 88th Legislative Session, provides a concise review of what passed and what didn’t, and what’s next for POAs based on the Session.
Although the 88th Legislative Session came to a close on May 29th, an extraordinary event unfolded when Governor Abbott opted to veto several bills, including one that had a direct impact on POAs. In light of this development, our Texas Legislative Session Update video, a follow-up to the above, provides crucial insights and an in-depth update regarding this situation.
Also available is Texas 87th Legislative Session. The 2021 session of the Texas legislature produced significant changes to the Texas Property Code affecting property owners’ associations. This video explores those changes and provides specific follow-up recommendations.
