Ken Sasso of Clayton’s Corner
by Sabrina Padgett

Ken has been serving on the Board of Directors for Clayton’s Corner Homeowners Association for 8 years, starting in 2014. He was recruited by a past director and two years after joining, he stepped into the role of Board President, where he has remained since.

Ken has lived in Clayton’s Corner for 19 years, moving from another Atascocita community into his home there. He has been in the Humble and Atascocita area since 1987, making him a local for over 30 years! He lives near his daughter who is raising Ken’s grandchildren. One of whom is a recent Humble High School graduate and the other a soon-to-be graduate from College Station. Every member of Ken’s family has a long track record of volunteering and helping their neighbors, including through volunteer work at the local school Ken’s grandchildren attend and where his daughter is a Kindergarten teacher.

Ken is a stand-up community member who, now that he’s retired from his 47-year-long career in the trucking industry, can often be seen working in his yard. His green thumb is evident: his grass is thick and lush, his flower beds are always fit for the seasons, and there is never a weed to be seen. Ken can also be spotted frequenting his grandchildren’s school activities and events. Ken’s wife, Mrs. Sasso, also has noteworthy attendance for these events; she frequently sells tickets at local sporting events, and began when her granddaughter started playing soccer in kindergarten. A favorite family pastime, beyond gardening and cheering on their grandbabies, is helping with the judging during the CCCA holiday lights contest each year.

Ken loves fostering harmony within his community. He works to keep the subdivision family-oriented and establishes deep neighborly connections through his volunteer work. He hopes to see Clayton’s Corner continue to garner a reputation as a burgeoning family-centered community. Clayton’s Corner attempts to fulfill wishes like Ken’s through community garage sales, holiday lights, the Yard of the Month contests, and annual summer parties.

This video explores those changes and provides specific follow-up recommendations.

Super-Budget Concepts is a great introduction (or refresher) to our Super-budget and a nice refresher or opening to the full webinar offered in our Seminar Series.

In our video, Short Term Rentals, we offer insight into short-term rental properties. We have an expert panel on board discussing everything from what a short-term rental is, to potential problems and possible solutions.

All of our Associations in Practice Series videos will be available on our YouTube channel. We will send updates when new material is added. You can also subscribe to our channel for news on the latest additions.
