Doug Smith of Brays Forest Patio Homes
by Alma Reyes

Doug Smith has lived in Brays Forest Patio Homes since 2009. He has been an active member of his community, volunteering in numerous roles. Not only does he serve on the current HOA Board as Vice President, but he also serves on the Alief Super Neighborhood Council. In that capacity, he is currently working with the International Management District to come to a resolution regarding the commemorative Vietnamese street signs in the Bellaire area, which many believe are non-inclusive.

Doug’s passion and devotion to his community make him a true role-model volunteer. Both Brays Forest Patio Homes and the Alief Super Neighborhood Council are very fortunate to have such an outstanding community leader, and C.I.A. Services, Inc. is truly delighted to continue working and growing with him.

We are pleased to announce four new communities joining C.I.A. Services.

The Winn Brook Estates Homeowners Association currently maintains 216 beautiful homes in the city of Wincrest, which is located in Northeast San Antonio.

The Legacy Trails Cell-3 Homeowners Association is a 136-home, gated community on the rapidly growing west side of San Antonio in an enclave of several other communities we manage: Aviara, Westover Forest and Mirabella (Charro Legacy Trails).

The Clear Creek Forest, Section 13 Property Owners Association is an older acreage community located in Magnolia, Texas with 154 homes. Their amenities include a baseball diamond and a community building.

The Concan Country Club Subdivision Homeowners Association is a gated community surrounding the 18-hole Concan Country Club in the beautiful mountains of the Hill Country on the Frio River. There are currently 28 completed homes and the majority of them are used for short term rentals.

We are excited to welcome these new communities into the family!

Employee Anniversaries

We love to celebrate special milestones with our employees. In the Employee Corner of each eNews issue, we will list all employees that have reached their 1 year anniversary with our company.  Additionally, once employees reach five years and become company stockholders, we recognize them each year on their anniversary month.

Kim Moore, Executive Vice President, Community Manager, and the Branch Manager of our Southwest Houston Office, is celebrating her 20 year anniversary!  In addition to the amazing work Kim does for us, she is frequently holding a camera to capture all of those special moments.

Congratulations to Frances McIntyre, on her 13 year anniversary. Frances is the Community Specialist Lead from our Humble Office.  In her free time, Frances enjoys spending time with her horses and grandchildren.

Congratulations to them both!

Newest Community Emergency Response Team Member

C.I.A. Services sends an appreciative congratulations to Kimberly Terry of our accounting office in Pipe Creek/Bandera County!

Kimberly, amongst 12 other volunteers from the American Legion Post 410 and Bandera ISD, was recognized during a ceremony at the July 12, 2018 meeting of the Bandera County Commissioners Court for completing a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course.

This was a 3 day (20 hour) course covering disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical operations, light search-and-rescue skills, disaster psychology, and emergency team organization skills.

A disaster simulation was also held to bolster the training of volunteers who could be called on to assist emergency management officials should a disaster occur.

Officials say bystanders and/or victims provide the first immediate assistance on the scene in 95% of all emergency situations.  The CERT training prepares volunteers to know what to do if they are among those called on to provide that assistance.

Thank you Kimberly!
