Volunteer Spotlight

Sharon Baughman of Walden Meadows
by Lia Arnold

I am thrilled to introduce you to this month’s Volunteer Spotlight, Mrs. Sharon Baughman, the Secretary of Walden Meadows Homeowners Association in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon, her parents and her grandparents are proud born and raised San Antonians. It was 2012 when she found her home in the very lovely and peaceful community of Walden Meadows and became a board member shortly thereafter.

Through her several years on the board, Sharon has shown her love for her community and belief in looking out for your neighbors. Keeping the community well maintained and connected is very important to her. She has been sure to keep a current list of all owners’ contact information in order to keep the community updated with news, emergency matters and upcoming events, which she often hosts herself.  She has helped with several National Night Out events, Christmas Decorating Contests and other events to help bring her community together.

Sharon’s passion to help and bring people together has shown greatly in her professional and personal life. She has an extensive professional background in nonprofits organization, serving 15 years as the director for the Meals on Wheels Program with Christian Senior Services and 18 years as the director at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas.

In 2016, Sharon was able to retire to take care of her parents and now spends her free time at her second home in beautiful Olympia, Washington where she is currently enjoying the 60-degree weather, continuing to manage her secretarial duties while we Texans melt away.

We are honored to recognize and thank her for all her years on the board of directors and work in the local community.

Employee Corner

Stockholder Anniversaries

We love to celebrate special milestones with our employees. In the Employee Corner of each eNews issue, we will list all employees that have reached their 1 year anniversary with our company.  Once employees reach five years with the company, they become a stockholder and we recognize them each year on their anniversary month.

Congratulations to Linda Morris, on her 11 year anniversary. Linda is a Community Manager from our Humble Office.  Linda has managed to perfect the art of balancing family and work. She does an amazing job for our communities and is an amazing mom and grandma to many!

Community Manager Jennifer Northington is celebrating 6 years of service. Jennifer manages communities from our Humble office.  She is always willing to lend a helping hand and is considered a mentor to new employees.  Jennifer loves to travel to fun locations and explore the oceans in her scuba gear.

Cindy Hathorn, a member of the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Team at our Bandera office, is celebrating her 6 year anniversary. Cindy crunches those numbers daily!  She is also the go to person for title companies needing time senstive property information for potential home sales. We always receive postive feedback from those title companies about our quick turn around times!

Cherylyn Arguello is our Insurance Coordinator operating out of the Humble office. She has been working for C.I.A. Services for 5 years this month and is now our newest stockholder!  In addition to making sure that all of our communities have proper insurance coverage, Cherylyn also works with the Compliance Department processing home improvement requests and attending committee meetings.  Cherylyn is a recent newlywed and enjoying newly married life!

One Year Anniversaries

We also have several 1 year anniversaries to celebrate!

Sebby Regalado is a Community Manager at our San Antonio office.  In addition to being a great asset to our team, Sebby has a secret hidden talent.  He’s an awesome singer!  We just might have him be the entertainment at our next company party.

Administrative Assistant Maylea Cox is also celebrating 1 year with the company. Maylea assists with several San Antonio communities, making sure their needs are met.  On her personal time, she loves gardening.  You might say she was born with a green thumb, considering her parents own a landscaping company.

Brittany Ashe is an Assistant Manager at our San Antonio office. Brittany provides great support to several communities and also works with the marketing team.  When she’s hungry she’s been known to grab some mac-n-cheese, one of her favorite meals!
