Damon Ankenman of Westfield Glen
by Brenda Ellington
Damon has been a resident of Westfield Glen since May of 1993 which will be 25 years in a few months. Though Damon didn’t serve on the Board of Directors for the P.O.A. until 2015, he has always been the person out walking and picking up trash as he walked. He currently is serving in the capacity of board president.
Anytime a board member is needed to meet with a vendor or contactor he is always available. Damon has dedicated his time to the community and is always looking at what can be done to better the community.
Damon has been retired since 2013 and stays very active in his church. He is a lifetime member and third generation Deacon of South Main Baptist Church. Damon is married to his sweet and loving wife, Emma and has two wonderful children: Pat and Amy; and three delightful grandchildren: Isaac, Rossi, and Mia.
Damon served six years in the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserve from 1966 to 1972. He returned to Houston after 6 months of active duty in the Marine Corp. and started in the mail room of Hughes Tool Co (“Baker Hughes Inc.” after merger with Baker) in 1967 at a salary of $300.00 a month. He worked in various areas of Hughes Christensen, a company of Baker Hughes and held thirteen different jobs, including Product Manager of Licensee and Subsidiary Services. He eventually obtained the title of Product Coordinator, of which one responsibility was publishing the Baker Hughes Rig Count. He stayed in this position for over 20 years. Damon retired in 2012 after 45 years with Baker Hughes but asked to come back on a contract basis for another year and a half, thus finishing a career of over 46 years with the same company.
C.I.A. Services would like to thank Damon Ankenman for his years of service to our country and for making Westfield Glen P.O.A. a community at which to hang your hat.
Hockey Night
by Kim Terry
This year we celebrated our “10th Annual Hockey Night with the San Antonio Rampage" at the AT&T Center in beautiful San Antonio! Our guests were treated like VIPs as they checked in through the VIP entrance where they received game and prize tickets. Several of our guests were winners of the “Golden Ticket” and walked away with some pretty cool autographed items. We introduced our 10th collectible cowbell which was “T-Bone with an Attitude” and of course our t-shirts were also a hit!!
Patrick Sheffield, Maintenance Coordinator from the Southwest Office, was selected to ride on the Zamboni during the first intermission and Wendy Heine from Dancing Bear Ranch graced the Zamboni in the second intermission. Several of our guests were treated to the ultimate “Fan Tunnel” experience getting to high-five and cheer on the Rampage players as they came onto the ice!
Two nights before, the Rampage dominated the Barracuda with a 3-0 shutout. Unfortunately, the Barracuda took a bite out of the Rampage momentum by scoring first on their way to a 5-1 win. But the Rampage played hard and getting to watch any hockey game live is a good hockey game!
We look forward to 2019 when we’ll have more surprises coming to Hockey Night!

Felicia Berguin of the Woodforest North Section II Homeowners Association
by Kaila Gattis
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Felicia Brooks Berguin. Felicia is the wife of Mickey Berguin, a longtime member of the Woodforest North Section II H.O.A. Board of Directors. Felicia frequently worked side by side with Mickey for the betterment of their community.
Not only has Felicia dedicated countless years to the Woodforest North II community, she also dedicated over 20 years to serving our country in the United States Army. As a retired Staff Sergeant, Felicia worked at several schools as a JROTC and LOTC instructor and recruiter.
We greatly appreciate the many years that Felicia and Mickey have given to the Woodforest North II community. Felicia will truly be missed and live on through the residents in the community. We send our most sincere condolences to the family.
Summerwood Community Association
We are proud of every one of our communities, so it is always hard to find just one to highlight. We start by having each of our Community Managers write a nomination for one of their communities. We then read them and take a vote. Here are our most recent selections:
To see the full story on these communities and to see all of the past winners, visit the Community of the Month page on our site.
We appreciate the communities that are celebrating their anniversaries with us.
Here are the clients that started with us in February.
Here are the clients that started with us in March.
Our goal has always been to create a positive, long term relationship with all of our client communities. We are very proud to be managing all of these communities.
We are excited to announce new communities that have joined the C.I.A. Services family.
