2025 Workday Recap
Loma Vista Ranch Owners -
We take this opportunity to report on the accomplishments of the LVRPOA’s very productive workday at the Lake Park in Phase 3 on Saturday, May 3rd. The turnout was fantastic as 45 +/- people came out to help. We cleared the area around the pavilion, the east, west, and south sides of the lake, and the parking area, the fields all over the Lake Park. The hard work included the removal of trash, branches, sticks, stones/rocks, and thistles that were either placed on a trailer and taken to the Kerrville dump (thank you to Rick Landrum) or moved to other areas of the park. Weed trimming was done around rocks and equipment, and the bathroom facilities were given a thorough cleaning.
It was great to see a very enthusiastic group of owner-volunteers wanting to make our LVRPOA community better. And the workday was a great opportunity to meet new people and strengthen our community bonds. We look forward to doing more for our neighborhood and having more social events in the future.
The attached high-altitude aerial images, taken briefly on the day, show the cleaned-up park and reveal several interesting angles of the healthy natural growth in the lake just below the surface. The removal of rocks and debris now enables our contracted landscaping company to mow the area around the Lake Park. Both bathrooms at the Lake Park pavilion are completed and operational. Access is restricted by code locks and a notice with the access codes will be circulated shortly. Signage pertaining to the use of the pavilion and Lake Park will be posted soon.
A special shout-out to Paul Yates and Rick Landrum of the Parks Committee, and Mike Moody of the Board, for all of the hard work put in before, during, and after Saturday to ensure the workday was a glowing success. Thank you again to all of those who turned out with gloves, tools, and a positive “get ‘er done” community mindset to lend a hand to collectively spruce up our wonderful park for all to enjoy.

LVRPOA Thanks First Responders
Loma Vista Ranch Owners -
As a show of gratitude and support for our first responders, the LVRPOA Board recently approved a $500 donation to both the Tierra Linda Volunteer Fire Department (TLVFD) and the Harper Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. Both of these volunteer fire departments have been instrumental in responding to multiple fire incidents in our Loma Vista Ranch community in the past 6 months. TLVFD is also assisting the LVRPOA Board and the Parks Committee in obtaining and installing a dry hydrant at our lake to speed up the process of refilling their fire trucks during fire incidents in our community. TLVFD will apply for a Texas A&M Forestry Service grant to obtain the necessary apparatus and equipment and thereby reduce the cost to the LVRPOA for this critical hydrant to support our community.

We continue to seek opportunities to help our Loma Vista Ranch community grow and succeed in every possible way.
Best to all, LVRPOA Board
