The Community Association of the Highlands is a community of just over 900 single-family homes in the beautiful First Colony area of Sugar Land. In early 2022 there was a large change in the makeup of the Board of Directors. This change has sparked new ideas for community events, policy updates, and a new vision for the Association’s amenities. Below are a few of the projects the Board has set in motion in just 3 short months.
In the fall of 2022, the access system will be upgraded eliminating the need to purchase or carry 2 access devices. The upgrade will allow residents to use a single access card to enter the pool, tennis courts, or the community clubhouse.
The Board is looking to partner with a local printing company to publish a quarterly newsletter that is not only informative but also stylish. This partnership will also allow local business owners the opportunity to get their names out in the community.
Several members of the Board are actively planning community events to ensure the community spirit continues to grow. The group envisions adding a few events throughout the year such as a fall food truck event, the annual splash day event, and a spring event.
The Board is committed to improving the amenities within the association. In 2015, 1 of the 2 community pools was filled in and the space has sat empty for many years. The Board is diligently exploring financially reasonable options to restore the area into a usable space for the entire community to enjoy.
The Highlands Board of Directors are all proud of their accomplishments so far and anticipate many more improvements in the years to come. C.I.A. Services, Inc. is proud to be the management partner through the exciting improvements planned and looks forward to many more years of a wonderful working relationship.
