Important Pet Information

Important Pet Information
City of San Antonio has several regulations regarding your pet.  

Leashing and Control.
All dogs must be confined to their owner’s property at all times exceptwhen on a leash. Animal Care Officers have the legal authority toenter unenclosed front yards of private property to impound unrestrained animals.

“Pooper Scooper” law
A pet owner or keeper shall not walk his/her dogs without a leash restraint, and shall not guide or take animals onto the yards or driveways of property not owned, leased or occupied by the animal owner for the purpose of allowing the animal to defecate, but shall keep his/her animal in the public right-of-way, and shall carry a container and scooper for the sanitary removal of his/her animal’s fecal matter from the public right-of-way.

Pets in Cars
It is illegal to leave any animal in a standing or parked vehicle. Any animal care officer or police officer is authorized to use reasonable force, including the breaking of a side window, to remove a pet from a car whenever it appears the animal’s health or safety is endangered.

The Hunter’s Chase Board of Directors meet every third Thursday of each month at Scobee Elementary (with the exception of the July meeting). If you are interested in attending one of our monthly meetings, come on in and join us!

Nextdoor another way to keep in touch with Neighbors
NextDoor Hunters Chase is an online App or Mobile App, which allows you to communicate with residence in the Hunters Chase community. There are also adjoining neighborhoods that use the Nextdoor App. This website uses residency authentication technology for you protection with the intent to help neighbors build a stronger and safer community. Go to www.nextdoor.com and enter your name and address to find Hunters Chase. It is not instant access as they need to verify you are the resident of the address you provided. As a member, you can find other neighbors in the directory, share tips, tricks and other information, post lost pet news, post classified ads or find a neighbor for babysitting, housecleaning or gardening! You can choose to receive posts as frequently as you wish via email or non at all. Be a part of the Community conversation online with Neighborhood Alerts, upcoming event information and so much more. It is a free service and recommended by local Law Enforcement. National Night Out - October 3rd, 2017
Hunters Chase I will be joining Hunters Chase II in celebrating their 2017 National Night Out event at the Hunters Chase II Pavilion located at 7515 Corian Park Dr from 5pm to 9pm. 

Join us for dinner. There will be hotdogs, side dishes, snacks & drinks and a moon bounce will be there for the kids. Please bring a side dish. 

Talk with our community leaders. San Antonio Police SAFFE Officer, San Antonio Firefighters, and NISD Police will also be available to answer questions & provide information.

Door prizes will be provided by our sponsors, Mary Denton Realty, Cross Fit Born Ready, Church’s Chicken, ALTEX Electronics & other local businesses. Must be present to win.  

Volunteers are needed to assist throughout the event. Come early to help set up, stay late to clean up, or sit down and enjoy talking to your neighbors!

So bring your lawn chairs, mosquito spray and enjoy a fun filled evening getting to know your neighbors.

National Night Out is a neighborhood crime and drug prevention event that occurs annually and is celebrated in every city, town and village in the US. Join your neighbors in turning the lights out against crime!
